As officially announced at the keynote opening of WWDC 2016, Apple Pay will soon be available in France and in Swiss (read: Apple Pay will soon be available in France). However, the Cupertino company did not communicate a launch day, or even a month.

It had been said recently that the contactless payment service of the apple firm would be operational in France from “this summer”. According to the latest information collected on this subject, the launch would be scheduled for the month of July next, that is to say on the date originally announced by the BPCE group (Banque populaire et Caisse d’épargne française).

Apple Pay France - Apple Pay: launch in France scheduled for JulyAlthough we do not yet have specific information on the exact date of release of Apple Pay in France, rumors suggest July 12 or 19. Of course, nothing is guaranteed for the moment and it will still be necessary to wait for a confirmation from Apple or the banking institutions to be sure.

As a reminder, Apple Pay will be available in its beginnings in France in certain establishments such as Carrefour Banque, Caisse d’Epargne, Banque Populaire, Boon, Ticket Restaurant and Orange. However, the service will expand to other banks later.
