From now on, data transfer between an old and a new Mac will no longer be charged at 99 in the Apple Store.
Billing at a high price in some Apple Stores, the transfer of data from an old Mac to a new Mac will now be a free service in apple stores.
The Californian group has just changed its policy, permanently eliminating the billing for this service.
Not all Apple Stores necessarily charge for the service, some stores having indeed chosen to offer this service free of charge to their customers.
The clarification from Apple will deserve to standardize the offer and present a much more welcoming face to the consumer.
Note that in Belgium or France, the new rules have already been in effect since April 2.
