Xiaomi Mi 11: the first smartphone with Snapdragon 888 arrives at the end of December 2020

According to Ice Universe, renowned informant of the smartphone world, Xiaomi will unveil the Mi 11 at the end of December. A previous leak was based on a presentation during the month of January 2021, mirroring Samsung and the Galaxy S21.

As expected, the Xiaomi Mi 11 will be the first smartphone on the market to take advantage of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoC. Engraved in 5nm, the chipset will power most of the high-end Android phones that will be the highlights of next year. The smartphone would therefore be built arounda screen surrounded by very curved edges, like the P40 Pro. According to the latest news, Xiaomi will decline the Mi 11 in two variants: a standard model and a Pro version, more upscale and more powerful.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro would be sublimated with a 120 Hz AMOLED QHD + screen, against 90 Hz Full HD + for its successor, the Mi 10 Pro. The screen would be compatible with MEMC, for “Motion Estimation Motion Compensation”, a technology capable of improving the fluidity of images. The smartphone could be compatible with 120W fast charging. For its part, the standard version of the Mi 11 should be satisfied with a 100W charging technology.
