After disclosing a lot of information, including on his Facebook account or according to interviews, the Chinese giant Xiaomi has just formalized its new flagship: the Mi 9.
The device has a 6.39 inch OLED screen offering a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The slab is marked by the presence of a notch in the form of water drops. The manufacturer has also changed the position of the fingerprint reader, which is now located under the screen. The back of the device has a iridescent finish, the color changing as a function of the angle. The effect is really successful on the “lavender purple” range. The device is also available in two other colors, black and blue. Xiaomi will launch a transparent edition for the Chinese market. Of false components are placed under the back cover.

Xiaomi Mi 9, a high-performance smartphone?
The Mi 9 is powered by a Snapdragon 855 coupled with 6 or 12 GB of RAM and can offer up to 256 GB of internal memory. This model is not yet announced as a 5G phone, but Xiaomi should provide more details on this technology at the Mobile World Congress.
The presence of a triple rear sensor is the main novelty compared to the Mi 8. The main APN displays 48 MP, a level similar to that of the Honor 20. The 12 MP lens offers a 2X zoom while the large sensor -16 MP angle guarantees a wider field of vision, up to 117 °.
A fast charging system
Xiaomi highlights the availability of a “turbo” wireless charging mode. Thanks to its power of 20W, it can reach a load of 100% in one hour and 40 minutes. The smartphone also comes with a 27 W charger, which recharges the 3300 mAh battery in 60 minutes.
The Mi 9 will first be released in China, before arriving on the European market. The 6GB / 128GB model should cost around 500 euros. The Mi9 SE, a mid-range, will be offered at just over 300 euros. It has a 5.97 inch screen and is based on a Snapdragon 712 coupled with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.
