The Windows 8.1 update will not be available before March, or even April. Soberly entitled “Windows 8.1 update 1”, this edition should not know as revolutionary features as those of Windows 8, released in October 2012. However, it brings a lot of corrections and small additions who confirm that Microsoft wants to be reconciled with “all” users, whether they have at their disposal a classic PC or a tablet. We should indeed find a better integration of Metro within the Office, and new possibilities for Modern UI applications. Therefore, if the main new features of this edition concern Modern UI (or Metro), they should reconcile the hard-core Windows users in “Desktop” mode with the OS. Here is a presentation of the different additions to expect in Windows 8.1 update 1.
