The build 15031 of Windows 10 is available today. Microsoft has indeed delivered a new preview of its operating system, before the release of the finalized edition called Creators Update. In the program : Overlay mode, Bluetooth lock and game bar improvement.

This new edition of Windows 10, currently in beta test phase, allows you to drop a UWP application in a corner of the screen and place it on top of the others (mode Overlay). Concretely, in the context of a video for example, it does not really appear in a window (no borders or crosses to close the application), but it’s just like. Main advantage of this technology: keep the video displayed whatever happens, and therefore allow the user to view a program while working on another application.

Another novelty: dynamic locking. With this option, you can lock / unlock your PC using a Bluetooth device. Convenient when you keep your smartphone for example, and you want to unlock your computer as soon as you approach it. Finally, Microsoft has also improved support for Game bar and full screen mode. 52 games have been added to the compatibility of this mode, which should be remembered, is activated via the key combination [Windows] + [G] and which allows you to capture full screen videos of your favorite games. Many corrections are also to be found in this new edition, which are all listed on the microsoft blog.

To benefit from this new preview, just click on the button Start, then go to the Settings and on option Mis up to date and security. Then go to Windows Insider program, then click on the button To start. Validate the update process and restart the PC. Then return to the module Windows Insider program, and select the option Choose your Insider level > Quick. Then restart Windows Update to download and install the latest build of Windows 10. If the download bar hangs on 0%, do not panic: the OS is in the process of recovering the latest preview, but does not modify for as much the progression value. A bug that was already present in the last build and that Microsoft is currently solving.

All these innovations will be found in the finalized edition of Windows 10 Creators Update, which is scheduled for next April.
