WhatsApp will soon allow its users to send phmres messages. Unlike Snapchat, the instant messaging application offers to erase messages between 1h and a year after sending. This new feature is currently still under development. Onyou explains how to walk.
By digging into the code of version 2.19.348 in beta from WhatsApp on Android, the WABetaInfo site has found evidence of an imminent option to program self-destruct messages. This feature has already been tested on a small scale last October. As a reminder, WhatsApp already allows you to delete messages and other files after sending, for a hard limit of 7 minutes.
WhatsApp will allow its users to choose after how long a message sent must be self-destruct. As can be seen in the screenshots above, the application leaves the choice between 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month or even a year.
This option will be accessible to users whether in a private chat, with a single contact, or in a group discussion. In this case, only the group administrator can choose to activate the option. Once done, the other participants will be free to program self-destruction of their messages. For the moment, we do not know when the messaging application will deploy this new feature to all users.

The last beta of WhatsApp tease the arrival of the dark mode
That's not all. The beta2.19.348 also confirms theis coming imminent from a dark mode. In development for several months, the dark mode has almost been abandoned many times. Nevertheless, the mode has made a new appearance in the previous beta on Android released in October. According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp's teams continue to develop this obscure theme. Again, we do not know when this novelty will be deployed but can not wait any longer.
