WhatsApp is a popular messaging service. The discussions pile up, but what to do when a contact does not respond? Did he block us? Here’s how to find out.
You use WhatsApp every day, but one of your contacts has not responded to you for several days, it may be that you have been blocked. To find out, here is WhatsApp: how to know if someone has blocked you on WhatsApp ?
- When you click on a conversation, at the top of the screen, WhatsApp tells you when this person was last seen.
- Acknowledgments: you have noticed the check marks next to your messages, if one is displayed in blue, it means that the message has been sent, if both turn blue, it means that the recipient received and read the message. However, if the person has read the message via quick view or has deactivated the read receipts, the information will not be returned.
- Another verification that is more meaningful is to check if you can display the profile picture of the person. If you cannot view it, it means either that you are blocked or that the person did not upload a photo to their profile.
- Finally, a final method is to use groups. If by creating a new group discussion, you cannot add a person to this group, it most likely means that you have been blocked by this same person.
As you will understand, WhatsApp does not provide any official verification method (just like Facebook, the owner of WhatsApp, see our article: Facebook: how to know if someone has blocked you on Facebook?).
The best method is still direct dialogue if you have the possibility and want it. Frankly ask the person if they blocked you and find out what may have caused this reaction.
