TheiPhone XS and theiPhone XS Max comply with the IP68 standard, which gives them water resistance up to 2 meters deep for 30 minutes, without causing damage. But what about iPhone of 2019 ?
According to information the famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the 2019 iPhones would have the same water resistance as those of 2018. They would thus keep the IP68 standard. The iPhone waterproofing specifications will therefore remain unchanged next year.
Note that the tests carried out by the various YouTubers have shown that Apple smartphones are doing very well in terms of water resistance. The fun ofiFixit have even carried out a test which confirmed that the iPhone XS can last almost five hours immersed in .. beer.
Other rumors indicate that the next iPhone from the Cupertino company would be equipped with a triple photo sensor, at least on one of the models. The other details will be published gradually over the next few months.
As a reminder, the iPhone XS, the iPhone X, the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus and the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus comply with the IP67 standard which allows water resistance up to 1 meter deep during a half an hour maximum.
