Windows XP is an operating system for computers: a definition probably does not satisfy Hacking Jules. Indeed, the youtubeur had fun “installing” the Bill Gates OS on his iPhone 7 thanks to an emulator.
Earlier this month, the hacker posted a video to his account in which he uses Windows XP Professional on his Apple phone running iOS 10.2.1. The iBox emulator and the Xcode installation tool were used to achieve this unique feat. The iPhone 7 is a powerful and fast device, but the phone is very slow under the operating system from Microsoft because the emulation can of course not exploit the full power of the terminal.
Using Windows XP on your iPhone 7 is not for everyone. The installation (or rather the emulation) of the operating system requires quite complex adjustments, and manipulations not accessible to the uninitiated. Besides, the youtubeur has not shared any tutorial to do it yourself.
Launched more than 16 years ago, Windows XP remains a very busy operating system. According to the netmarketshare site, it still has 8.5% market share, which is higher than Windows 8 and 8.1.
