In addition to the Go Play / Pop Up / Pop Star 3G / Pop Star 4G smartphones, the Go Watch connected watch and the Xess large format touch pad that we were talking about recently, the brand Alcatel One Touch presented One Touch Pixi First and One Touch Idol 3C smartphones at IFA 2015 in Berlin.
As the name suggests, the One Touch Pixi First is intended for a first experience in terms of smartphone and thus plays the card of the minimalist. There is a Spreadtrum 7331 chipset whose 1.2 GHz quad-core processor is coupled to 512 MB of RAM. There is also a 4 inch screen in 800 x 480 pixels, 3G + support, 2/5 Megapixel photo sensors, a 4 GB internal memory expandable by MicroSD and a 1450 mAh battery ensuring 7 hours of communication or 300 hours of standby. No information however on the OS on board, nor on the price elsewhere. We hope with Android Lollipop and under the 100 euros mark.
For its part, the One Touch Idol 3C take on the role of mid-range phablet model with its diagonal of 5.5 inches Full HD and its Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 platform (whose octocore processor will be supported by 2 GB of RAM and whose modem will support 4G / LTE at 150 Mbit / s). It also offers 8/13 Megapixel photo sensors, a capacity of 16 GB with extension by MicroSD and a 2,910 mAh battery for 13 hours of communication or 600 hours of standby time. Again, Android Lollipop is expected out of the box. On the price side, nothing specified, but we can count on 250 euros.
