At the beginning of April, Twitter presented a new design for user profiles, very inspired by that of Facebook. After availability reserved for a few users, the new design is now available to everyone.
To take advantage of the new profile page design Twitter, just go to the presentation page of these new profiles, then click on “Enjoy it now”. Therefore, by accessing your profile page, several new features are highlighted. Twitter then prompts you to use a avatar of 400 pixels by 400 and an banner of 1500 pixels by 1500. Once added, your banner can be repositioned. Finally, this new feature allows to highlight a tweet that will remain pin at the top of your profile, useful for introducing yourself. Note that tweets posts with the most interest appear in bold on your profile.
For the social network, this new profile aims to democratize the use of Twitter and get closer to Facebook design. Indeed, nearly a billion users registered on the social network would have abandoned it because of the apparent complexity of its codes such as acronyms @, hashtags or abbreviations of the RT, LT or FF type. Twitter, which went public last November, therefore seeks to attract more audiences than just 8% of registrants who posted more than 50 tweets, according to a Peerreach study from November last year.
