Here is a tutorial that will be useful to many iPhone users. As you know GeoHot to today (10/09/10) released its Jailbreak Limera1n tool.
This last jailbreak iOS 4.1 but does not unlock the baseband 2.10.04 contained in iOS 4.1.
To unlock your iPhone while passing it in 4.1 you must prevent the baseband from updating and for that nothing could be simpler, just follow the following method step by step.
This tutorial must be performed on an iPhone 4 not unlocked operator on iOS 4.0, 4.0.1 or 4.0.2

[dl url= »http://www.appsystem.fr/firmwares/ » title= »iOS 4.1″ desc= »iPhone 4″]
Right click on TinyUmbrella and click on “Run as administrator”
You must now authorize the execution of TinyUmbrella.
Connect your iPhone and check that TinyUmbrella has detected it.
Now click on the button [Start TSS Server] at the top at the top of the TinyUmbrella window. Make sure there is no error message in the log window (where there are lots of things written: p)
iTunes will then be automatically closed. If you have an error message on TinyUmbrella you can stop the manipulations now that means that your device does not meet the conditions necessary for this method.
Leave TinyUmbrella open and launch iTunes again.
Now open iTunes and press the SHIFT key on the keyboard and while holding down click on the button [Restaurer]
Then select firmware 4.1 in IPSW format downloaded previously.
iTunes will then show you a nice error 1004 and it’s completely normal, don’t worry: p
Return to TinyUmbrella which had remained open. Click on the button [Kick Device Out Of Recovery].
If the operation fails, close TinyUmbrella and repeat the operation in step 7.
the iPhone will then go to 4.1 without updating the baseband 😉
Now let’s go to the Jailbreak and then the unlocking thanks to these two tutorials.
