Tutorial – Adapt non-Retina icons to Retina version using iRetiner

A script that has been available for some time has been updated, and it is getting really interesting.

Called “iRetiner”, this script simply allows you to “convert” all “non-Retina” icons to “Retina version”.

Here is a mini tutorial explaining how to do it 😉

Pre-requisites

  • A jailbroken device
  • Mobile Terminal installed via cydia

Step 1

Install iRetiner from Cydia (modMyi repo):

2nd step

Once installed, launch Mobile Terminal and type the following commands: (each line break corresponds to pressing the “Return” key on the keyboard):

  • su
  • alpine (if it’s still your default password)
  • to irate

Normally, this should display:

Type “1” in the terminal, a confirmation request will appear:

Let the script work. Once everything is finished, your device will do a “respring”.
