Among the many new features brought by the Apple TV 4 and its tvOS, the support for Siri is very significant. Choose the music played by Apple Music, check the weather, launch an application … all of the features offered by the voice assistant.

However, this compatibility with Siri is currently only offered in 8 countries around the world. France, Germany, Spain, United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia and Japan. If you live in another country, you cannot a priori take advantage of this technology.

Fortunately, there is a solution. All you need to do is set the language and country and use an American App Store account. Here are the steps to follow.

Procedures

Go to Settings and the General tab of your Apple TV. Choose Languages and region, then Languages. Set the language to English.

Then go to the Accounts tab of the settings. In Apple ID, choose iTunes and App Store, then preferences. Then change the Location to one of the 8 compatible countries such as France.

Go back to Accounts> iTunes and App Store. Log in with a US account. Immediately, a window will appear asking you to activate Siri. Choose the Use Siri option. If the window does not appear, go to Settings> General> Siri and choose On. You may need to restart the device.
