As you know, Apple has introduced multitasking gestures on iPad in the iOS 4.3 beta, which allow you to switch between applications more quickly using a 4-finger swipe, to return to the springboard with a ” pinch “of 5 fingers etc … But Apple had also declared that these gestures were going to disappear, to our great regret, on the final version of this iOS (this is still not confirmed).

Anyway, these gestures are still available on iPad with firmware 4.3 GM, and we offer a tutorial to activate them on iPhone 4.

Step 1

First, you need to jailbreak your iPhone 4 to firmware 4.3 GM with this tutorial

2nd step

Then install OpenSSH via Cydia

Stage 3

Connect in SSH and go to the following path: System / Library / CoreServices / SpringBoard.app /

Edit the N90.plist file there.

Add a boolean value to the “multitasking-gestures” key and put it in “yes”, like this:

Step 4

Put the file back in SSH, reting your iPhone and activate the option in the Settings application:
