During the WWDC 2016 opening keynote in San Francisco, the apple company announced that its Apple Pay contactless payment system would soon be launched in France. No date has been mentioned yet, but the service should be available in the coming months. However, some iPhone owners have already taken advantage of Apple Pay in France.
According to the first information shared on the subject by iGen, customers of the Banque Populaire and some Savings Bank are the only ones who can benefit from the service. Besides, it is still a bit limited for some of them. To take advantage of it now, you must first change the language of your iPhone by passing it to the United Kingdom or Canada region (Settings> General> Language and region> Region).
You should then go to the Wallet application and add the information relating to your bank card (Add a bank card) and check it. Finally, it only remains to change the language by ironing the device in the France region. It is good to specify that the limit per transaction is here fixed at 300 euros, which will allow users to better benefit from the service and make a large number of purchases. It only remains now to wait for the extension of Apple Pay with other banks so that all users can benefit.
