As you know, the dev-team members promised us a new version of Cydia for iOS 4.2.1
This version is finally released, but has so far only been used on iOS 4.2.1.
Here is a tutorial allowing you to install the new version of Cydia under firmware 4.x.
- OpenSSH installed
- iFile installed // or iPhInstaller to make it much easier 😉
- Have the latest version of Mobile Substrate installed
- A device in 4.x
Download the new Cydia from the source of saurik (via computer)
You must install the DEB.
To do this, you can simply use iPhInstaller Mac or Windows:
To download it, it’s here
Otherwise, you can install everything manually by connecting with an SSH client to your iPhone, putting the .deb in / var / mobile, then going to iFile and installing the DEB from the application.
Restart your device for more security
Thank you to the many signals by PUSH!
