The latest update to the TomTom app includes support for the iPhone 5’s 4 ″ screen.
More than two months after the release of the iPhone 5, it was time for TomTom to adapt to the new Apple smartphone. And it is now done since this new version stamped “1.12” is now optimized for the 4 ″ screen of the iPhone 5. All the elements of the application have been carefully adapted to the screen of the new smartphone. In addition to this necessary new feature, TomTom announces that its application also benefits from new maps (15% of new data) and of course, support with iOS 6. A change which implies that the application now interacts with Apple's mapping service : TomTom can guide you to the places you have discovered with the Maps application.
Note that TomTom suggests updating the application rather than deleting it before installing it, in order not to lose your settings and your saved locations.
When this update arrives, TomTom also lowers the prices of its application: TomTom Benelux is currently priced at 49.99 vs. 59.99 while TomTom Europe is priced at 69.99 versus 79.99. The TomTom app works on both iPhone and iPad.
We discuss it on the forum.
