Champions of autonomy
The mobility of a laptop depends in part on its autonomy. Element badly known, it generally comes down to the data provided by the manufacturer. These do not always reflect the actual capacity of the batteries. Today, several brands are announcing record times of up to more than eight hours of autonomy. What is it really like? Are these values reliable?
To find out, we tested three of these autonomy champions and two versatile computers to corroborate the results. The three high autonomy models are 13.3 inches from Acer, Sony and HP. The other two have a screen diagonal of 15.6 inches and come from Samsung and MSI. They represent the current mid-range.
