the lens Time Machine to rejuvenate and age the fly

With the Time Machine filter, Snapchat offers a trip back in time allowing the user of the application to modify its appearance via a simple cursor on the screen. It will thus be able to rejuvenate or age in almost real time.

Snapchat doesn't say much about the technology used, except that it uses machine learning without surprise. The deployment is done on a global scale and with access from the Snapchat camera and the Lenses carousel in augmented reality.

It is a question here of surfing on the popularity of the baby filter on Snapchat and going back in the other direction the principle of the aging filter which had made the buzz – good and bad – last summer with the Russian application FaceApp (without being new so far).

" Traveling back in time with the flick of your finger becomes child's play ", wrote Snapchat.

For the third quarter, Snapchat claimed 210 million active users per day and highlighted interest in the new augmented reality camera effects.

According to Evan Spiegel, the boss and co-founder of Snap Inc (parent company of Snapchat), each active user interacts with augmented reality almost 30 times a day on average.
