The team PanGu was made famous for its many jailbreaks ofiOS 8 and iOS 9. Lately, the hacker team has successfully completed the jailbreak iOS 12 of the’iPhone XS.
Even with the new A12 Bionic processor, much more powerful and secure than the A11 according to Apple, the iPhone XS did not resist the know-how of the PanGu team, and this, only a few days after its release official. The hackers have managed to circumvent the new restrictions put in place by Apple to have full access to the new iPhone. This then installs Cydia, for example.
For the curious, the Chinese developer Min Zheng pointed out that this iOS 12 jailbreak of the iPhone X was made possible by bypassing a PAC mitigation measure implemented in the A12 Bionic processor.
For the moment, the Chinese team has not published a video demonstration, but it may appear on the web very soon. However, we do not know if this jailbreak will see the light of day, but we hope so! We also don’t know if it is tethered or untethered (if it gets lost or not when the smartphone is restarted).
As a reminder, this is not the first time that iOS 12 has been jailbroken. The Alibaba team has already demonstrated the release of Apple’s latest mobile OS on iPhone X (read: The jailbreak iOS 12 Untethered already successful by Ali Security!)
