The mysterious Samsung smartphone SM-G888 has been suspected for several months of being the brand's first folding screen mobile device and could eventually lead to a model Galaxy X.
The model had been seen in the certification lists of the Bluetooth SIG during the summer and it has also just been spotted in the documents of the National Radio Research (NRA) South Korean, which could correspond to the Korean variant.
It therefore remains in principle possible that the folding screen smartphone will make an official appearance before the end of the year, even if its marketing will probably take place in 2018.
Given the lack of concrete information around this SM-G888 device, caution is advised on its real nature. The site SamMobile note that no firmware development seems to have been observed since July.
In addition, the head of the mobile division of Samsung, D.J. Koh, confirmed the announcement of a smartphone with folding screen for the second half of 2018, which would belong to the Galaxy Note series.
