Apple has acknowledged that this computer may present a random shutdown problem. Obviously a major problem for the MacBook Pro 13 released earlier this year for which the Apple has a solution.
On a page specially created to deal with the problem of suddenly shutting down the computer, Apple recommends checking if the battery level of the MacBook Pro is below 90% before quitting all open applications and closing the laptop. It will then go to sleep. Then, it must be plugged into the mains for at least eight hours without touching it. After which, you will need to update your computer.
According to Apple, this deep refill should solve the problem. If this is not the case, the firm advises to contact its after-sales service.
Although it gives a procedure to solve the problem, Apple has not indicated the reasons for these unexpected arrests. Its press release still suggests that the problem would lie with the computer software.
A new problem for the MacBook Pro range. A few months ago, Apple had to launch a 15-inch battery replacement program, because some MacBook Pro were at risk of catching fire due to overheating of the battery.
