Famous valve platform, Steam is an almost essential service for players on Windows, Mac and GNU / Linux. Currently, the service offers its winter sales, displaying games at much lower prices than usual.
While Steam had broken its audience record during the summer sales, we learn that more than 8 million users were connected yesterday, Sunday December 28, 2014, around noon. Specifically, the platform graph highlights 8,156,455 online players.
It is the largest number of connected users in Valve's history. This record has certainly been broken due to the current winter sales, as well as the breakdown of PlayStation Network and Xbox Live services due to an attack by a group of hackers.
The most popular games from Valve's service are always more or less the same with Dota 2 in first position, followed by Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Team Fortress 2.
