The first shipment notices were received today by people who pre-ordered their new iPod touch in the United States.
The fifth generation iPod touch is only available for delivery to people who have pre-ordered it in the United States. Evidence of a shipping notice reu this day by one of the site's readers AppleInsider. Unveiled on September 12, during the keynote Apple’s iPod touch has been available for pre-order from the Apple Online Store since September 14. The American firm did not indicate a specific date for the availability of its new multimedia player, merely indicating that it would be made available during the month of October.
As a reminder, the new iPod touch broadly follows the same guidelines as its predecessors. Thinner (6.1mm), lighter (88 grams), it displays an A5 processor, equivalent to that of the iPhone 4S. Its rear side is made of aluminum, which should prevent scratches, or at least limit them. Like the iPhone 5 and iPod Nano, it is fitted with a new Lightning generation connector. It also borrows Siri iPhone 5 and can be used as a voice recognition system.
Due to its autonomy, it should be greater than that of the iPod Nano 40 hours against 30. It is also equipped with an iSight Camera offering a resolution of 5 mgapixels and a focal opening of 2.4, just like the iPhone. He is able to film in 1080p with his back camera, and in 720p with his front camera. Much purer, the iPod Touch design also modernizes Apple's product line. It will be available in five colors: white, black, yellow, light blue and rosy red.
The new iPod touch is proposed from 329.
It remains to be seen when the first deliveries will take place in Belgium.
