Tim Cook, Apple CEO, presented the new flagship features of iOS 5, which will be available for download on iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.

200 new features are introduced in iOS 5.


The “Messages” application is renamed iMessage because it now allows you to send messages from iPhone iPhone, iPhone iPad (and vice versa) via the 3G network and Wi-Fi. an equivalent of RIM's BlackBerry Messenger.

The notifications

The notifications have been completely redesigned since they are no longer intrusive as in previous versions of iOS. The camera

iOS 5 will be available in final version on October 12 for the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch of third and fourth generation as well as for the iPad 1 and 2.


iCloud is the successor to MobileMe. It will be provided free of charge to all iOS device users with free 5GB capacity. iCloud will allow you to synchronize your photos, your bookmarks as well as files between different iOS devices and your computer (developers will have to integrate this functionality within their application).
