Sony Creates 100 Million Dollar Global Relief Fund For COVID-19 – GKZ Hitech

A good gesture from the glove of the multimedia.

The world has been hard hit by the COVID-19 epidemic. I would say that about 60 to 70% of the articles I write here seem to have at least one indirect connection to the virus in one form or another, and it seems that the world is sort of stalled. We do not know when this will reverse and to what extent COVID will remain with us even after the end of the pandemic. But at the very least it seems that Sony has ideas to help you.

Announced via a press release (which you can read in full here), Sony has announced the establishment of a $ 100 million fund that will finance COVID-19 internationally. Although it goes well beyond the game, part of the fund will be used to help industry creatives.

Sony was one of the first and fastest reacting to the COVID crisis, retiring from events like PAX East and GDC before everyone else due to health concerns. Although $ 100 million doesn't seem like much in the grand scheme of things, everything will help in this difficult time, and it is more than most businesses.
