In September of last year, the operating system of Google for smartwatches, Android Wear, became officially compatible with iPhone Apple (read: Android Wear officially compatible with the iPhone).
At CES 2016, which is currently being held in Las Vegas, Samsung announced the compatibility of its Gear S2 smartwatch with iPhone this year. No specific date has been communicated, but the news should delight owners of Apple smartphones disappointed by the square design of the Apple Watch.
Of course, this opening to the iPhone is an opportunity for Samsung to boost its sales of the Gear S2, available from 349 euros. As a reminder, the smartwatch has a 1.2-inch circular Super-AMOLED screen (resolution 360 × 360 pixels, 302 ppi), a 1.0 GHz Dual Core processor, 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of storage internal. A version in 18-carat pink gold and a second in platinum will be marketed during 2016.
