Image 1: Samsung updates its Series 7 ultrabooksThe Korean giant has just presented a redesign of its range ofultrabooks Series 7, now operating under Windows 8. Two types of 13.3 ″ laptops are about to be marketed: touch models on the one hand, and others not tactile on the other hand. Both are available in versions Core i5 or Core i7 low consumption. Ultra thin, their thickness is only 17.5mm (non-touch) or 18.9mm (touch), while their weight is only 1.46 Kg (non-touch) or 1.65 Kg (non-touch).

On the memory and storage side, the most efficient models benefit from 16 GB RAM and of 256 GB SSD. As for the graphics chipset, Samsung trusted AMD and its ATI HD8570M. Finally, in terms of connectivity, the Series 7 have HDMI and mini VGA outputs, and two USB 2.0 ports and another in 3.0. These ultrabooks will be able to reach a definition of 1920 x 1080 pixels.Image 2: Samsung updates its Series 7 ultrabooksAt the same time, Samsung is taking the opportunity to update its Series 7 Chronos, offering them a Core i7 clocked at 2.40 GHz, an AMD HD8570M graphics chip, 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of hard drive. The Series 7 Chronos can also be delivered with a touch screen under Windows 8, or not.

If the prices of all these models are not yet known, they should be presented at the CES 2013, which starts next week.
