Samsung had mistakenly published an advertising video on Twitter that revealed the launch date of the flagship. Since then, the event has been made official. The first smartphones of the South Korean giant for 2020 will be revealed on February 11 in San Francisco at 8 p.m. French time.

Samsung announces three screens for super wide and super curved players

The Galaxy Unpacked conference dedicated to the Galaxy S11

The event was officially announced last Saturday. It will take place at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. The first leaks had indicated on February 18 but Samsung probably chose 11 so as not to be too close to the Mobile World Congress which will take place from February 24 to 27.

We expect the company to reveal a trio of Galaxy S11 of 3 different sizes as well as the competitor of the Motorola Razr, the Galaxy Fold 2. Furthermore, the letters “GIxy” that can be seen in the promotional video are interspersed with two images that resemble the packaging of the Samsung phone. Looking for more clues, the rounded corners of the left box suggest the Galaxy S11 series. While the right box with square corners could in particular represent that of the Galaxy Fold 2.

Samsung sold more 5G smartphones than expected

In addition, Samsung puts itself ahead of the competition by revealing its smartphones a few weeks before the Mobile World Congress. By announcing the new technologies of 2020, the manufacturer may consider itself to be innovative. For their part, other manufacturers can simply present them without being innovative. Obviously, 5G and improvements to camera modules are the most anticipated innovations of 2020.

Finally, we will finally know if Samsung decides to follow Huawei and to call its flagship Galaxy S20. Besides, this one should have 5G, a 108 megapixel camera, a 5,000 mAh battery and a design resembling that of the Galaxy Note 10. See you on February 11 to find out more!
