Apple is very open about its Apple TV application. After signing partnerships with Samsung, Sony, LG or Vizio, the apple authorizes Roku. The latter announces the upcoming arrival of Apple TV on its TVs and sticks, and especially Apple TV +.
Roku: new partner of Apple TV Plus
Available from the Roku Channel Store, the Apple TV application provides access to movies and serials available on iTunes Store but also Apple TV +, the VOD service planned for November 1st.
Roku streaming devices can add the Apple TV app for free from today. Apple TV + via the Apple TV app will be available in supported regions starting November 1st. In addition to the United States, the Apple TV app is available to Roku users in the following markets: Argentina, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, la France, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.
At the moment, Roku is little known at home, but is a real competitor of the Amazon Fire TV for example, and even of … the Apple TV.
For memory, Apple's application is already available at Samsung, Sony, LG and Vizio. Apple wants to reach the greatest number with its service 4.99 per month.
