Being developed in recent years at Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE), Project Morpheus presents itself as a virtual reality headset that surfs the same market as the Oculus Rift and other HTC Vive.
Dennis Castleman, hardware engineer in SCE's R&D division, recently said on Reddit that Project Morpheus is ready right now: "In our case, the hardware is ready to launch, we are just waiting for compatible games."
Indeed, the titles exploiting the headset of virtual reality of Sony are still rather little put forward and it is certainly the reason for which the exit of the material is planned only for 2016. However, it is worth remembering that the manufacturer has previously opened a dedicated development studio to the conception of a first-party title operating VR, North West Studio.
In parallel, SCE London Studio recently put forward its project The London Heist, a title that fully exploits the possibilities of Project Morpheus.
