According to sources familiar with the matter, the manufacturer LG Innotek is said to have recently started producing a 5 mgapixel camera / camera at a factory in Gumi, South Korea, which is likely to equip the next generation iPhone. Mass production is expected to start in June, however, according to a report.
This information contradicts recent assertions indicating the availability of the iPhone 4G following the Apple press conference (Keynote) which should take place, as usual, at the start of the World Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 7 next but rather a usual availability located at the beginning of July.
It is also to take into consideration that LG Innotek is one of two suppliers of camera components. Earlier reports indicated thatOmniVision also won the contract to supply up to 45 million pieces related to this functionality and more particularly an integrated LED flash on the phone.
We discuss it on the forum.
