Like every year, the race for Christmas gifts sometimes results in stock shortages. Last year, Sony was a victim of its success following the release of the PS4, causing out of stock for several weeks around the end of year celebrations.
The phenomenon tends to recur this year, if one believes the remarks made by Andrew House, CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, via the agency Reuters. "If I look at Europe, I think that there will potentially be inventory concerns for the second consecutive year".
The CEO hasn't given exact figures, but it's clear that some stores may run out of PS4 consoles for Christmas.
"I can't tell you if you'll be able to find a PlayStation 4"added House, adding that it will be handled day by day.
