A few months ago, Zeboyd Games announced that it had acquired the operating rights for the Penny Arcade franchise. Today, the studio behind Cthulhu Saves the World announces the arrival of the third episode this summer on iOS, in addition to traditional media.
This third opus should however not have much to do with the first two released in dmatrialis on home consoles and PC. The software will broadly resume the concept of a traditional 8-bit role-playing game. If the universe will remain faithful to that of the franchise, the gameplay will be much closer to a Grandia or Final Fantasy than to that of the first two episodes. And if you haven't tried the first two games, don't worry since it won't really have much to do with them. We can practically speak of a reboot for the franchise, which should undoubtedly open up a new audience …
