It seems that it is possible to bring together the CEO of Apple Tim cook and the manager of Samsung Mobile JK Shin, without being able to induce them to conclude an amicable agreement. Indeed, the two men would have met last week to try to find an agreement to their old patent quarrel, without success.
Although neither company has mentioned such a meeting, ZDNet Korea and other sources say the two giants met in the United States after receiving a court order to try to settle their amicable legal disputes (read: Apple vs Samsung: mediation over the patent war).
Reportedly, the court would have given the two companies until February 19 to find a solution, but the poor understanding between the two rivals seems to be a major obstacle.
The court could issue its final verdict after February 19, according to ZDNet Korea. If Samsung is on the losing side, the Korean phone maker could pay Apple $ 930 million in damages.
