About to be formalized with the arrival of iOS 6, the new PassBook application is about to be used by the airline Virgin Australia, rvle the 9to5mac site.
Unveiled in June during the presentation of the next major iOS update (iOS 6), the new PassBook application already seems to convince some companies. This is the case in particular for the airline Virgin Australia which announced this Friday the arrival of this new service which will be able to benefit very soon from its passengers.
In theory, the Australian airline company offers its customers to replace their boarding pass by the new functionality of Apple about to land in iOS 6. In practice, customers only have to visit the company website from their iPhone to order their plane tickets. As soon as the transaction is complete, the site will offer customers the option of transferring flight and airline ticket data to the PassBook app. The latter will only have to present their virtual boarding pass to the airline staff. They will be able to verify the data using a QR Code.
Scheduled for arrival in iOS 6, the new PassBook app will also allow you to store passwords, movie tickets, loyalty cards and more. Interacting with the GPS built into the iPhone, PassBook will also offer store loyalty cards just by passing by.
