Following the discovery of benchmarks for future iMac models in OS X (read: OS X 10.9.4: the first beta reveals 3 iMacs), Macbidouille found in betaOS X Yosemite for developers of code indicating resolutions Retina for future Apple computers.

More specifically, the file refers to reduced resolution modes like those available for MacBook Retina as well as resolutions 6400 x 3600 (probably a 3200 × 1800 Retina), 5760 × 3240 (2880 × 1620 Retina), 4096 × 2304 (2048 × 1152 Retina). The report notes that the native resolution of the machine seems to be missing from the file, since it only contains the resolutions of the various reduced scales.iMac - OS X Yosemite: references to an iMac Retina discoveredThe MacBook Pro Retina with a native resolution of 2880 x 1800 being able to scale from 3840 x 2400 to 1920 x 1200 by producing sharper and clearer images, the report assumes that the resolution 6400 x 3600 could also be revised to down to 3200 × 1800.

As a reminder, the current range of Apple iMac includes a 27-inch model with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a 21.5-inch model with a resolution of 1920 x 1080.
