OS X Yosemite 10.10.2: the new releases

Update : The OS X 10.10.2 update is available for download. The release notes are the ones that had leaked. OS X 10.10.2 fixes a little less than fifty security vulnerabilities for Yosemite, including those exposed as part of Google's Project Zero.


Updates to Apple's operating systems are expected soon. Not only iOS 8.1.3 but also OS X 10.10.2. For this Yosemite update, 9to5Mac was able to obtain the release notes before the time.

Yosemite Wifi problem In the program, the addition of iCloud Drive in the Time Machine backup functionality built into OS X. It is therefore the possibility to trace the changes made to files stored in iCloud Drive and restore a file that could have been deleted by inadvertence.

In terms of improvements, there is talk of improving audio and video synchronization with Bluetooth headsets, the stability of the Safari browser, the performance of the VoiceOver screen reader for accessibility.

For bug fixes, this is the correction of a Wi-Fi disconnection problem but the Wi-Fi reliability was already supposed to have been improved with the previous maintenance update. Another fix will deal with a problem loading web pages slowly and a bug allowing to load the content of an email from Spotlight (search in OS X) despite a deactivation in Mail preferences.

To this, we can also add the security fixes identified by iMore with among them the patches for the vulnerabilities disclosed by the Google Zero Project. This will also be an opportunity to make a correction for the attack known as Thunderstrike. A bootkit that can spread via malicious devices connected to the Thunderbolt port.
