Apple released a second beta version of the next one to developers on Thursday OS X 10.9.2 Mavericks. The latter (build 13C39) arrives a little less than a month after beta 1 which brought among other things FaceTime Audio added on our iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch with iOS 7 (read: Mac OS X 10.9.2 beta 1: arrival of FaceTime Audio).
Apple is once again asking developers to focus on Mail. The OS X built-in application encountered a number of issues and users complained about compatibility with Gmail as well as the poor performance of Smart Mailboxes.
The most recent update to OS X 10.9.1 was supposed to fix Mail’s problems, but it seems that many are still experiencing them. In addition to Mail, the apple company asked developers to focus on messages, virtual private network (VPN) functions, graphics drivers and VoiceOver.
Developers can download OS X 10.9.2 beta 2 via Software Update or from the Apple Developer Portal.
