The OnePlus Nord and the OnePlus Nord 100 are entitled to a new update. OnePlus has just deployed the OxygenOS 10.5.10 update on its two new smartphones. The firmware contains in particular the Android security patch for the month of December 2020. We explain how to install it.
OnePlus has just signed the launch of the OxygenOS 10.5.10 update on all OnePlus Nord and OnePlus Nord N100 in India and Europe. A few days ago, the young Chinese brand had already pushed the update on the OnePlus Nord N10 5G, another entry-level terminal.
In the changelog published on its official forum, OnePlus mentions “General bug fixes and stability improvements”. In detail, the firmware provides a “Improvement of electricity consumption” and a new icon in the quick settings to switch to silent mode. OnePlus also highlights an improvement of “The stability of the Bluetooth connection” and of “The experience of shooting with the camera”.

How to install the Android security patch on the OnePlus Nord / Nord N100?
Above all, the OxygenOS 10.5.10 update integrates Android security patch for the month of December 2020. With this last patch of the year, Google fixes a total of 46 security vulnerabilities identified within the mobile OS. All of these breaches are considered serious and critical by Google engineers.
As always, the manufacturer first deploys the firmware on a small portion of terminals. In a second step (in a few days), the update would be offered to all smartphones. To check if the update is already available on your device, just follow the maneuver below:
- See you in the Menu parameters from your smartphone
- Choose Software update
- Then click on Check for an update
- If it is available, all you have to do is press “Start update” and follow the on-screen instructions
Before starting the update installation, we recommend that you plug your smartphone into a power outlet and connect it to your home WiFi network. If you have not received the firmware, we recommend that you wait a few days for OnePlus to reach the end of the deployment.
