What does Google reserve for its Nexus range in 2015? Last year saw the end of the successful Nexus 7 series and the arrival of a tablet Nexus 9 signed Htc while the Nexus 5 designed with LG Electronics has given way to a Nexus 6 with a large screen and developed with the help of Motorola Mobility.
This year, there would be no new Nexus touchpad in development, which suggests that the Nexus 9 is here to stay.
On the other hand, on the smartphone side, these are two models Nexus which could appear during the second half of 2015 and which could introduce the next version of Android including the preliminary version Android M must be revealed in a few days.
Several names of manufacturers have been around in recent months, but the two that come up most often are those of LG Electronics and Huawei. The site Android Police evokes the two Nexus smartphones that could constitute the 2015 range.
The first would be codenamed LG Angler and would have a 5.2 inch display. It could carry a SnapDragon 808 processor which may suggest that it would be inspired by the recent LG G4. The on-board battery would have a capacity around 2700 mAh and it would take over from the Nexus 5.
The other model would be phablet type, with a 5.7 inch display, and it would correspond to a model Huawei Bullhead with a Qualcomm SnapDragon 810 processor. It would carry a 3500 mAh capacity battery and would therefore constitute the successor to the Nexus 6. A launch around the month ofoctober 2015 seems logical.
