After Mario, another flagship character of Nintendo could land on devices iOS. Link should arrive on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch in an adaptation of an episode of The Legend Of Zelda, according to Wall street journal.
Nintendo is no longer on par with Sony with its PlayStation and Microsoft with its Xbox on the home console market. The famous Japanese publisher of video games is now moving towards portable devices, including smartphones and tablets. He already has 3 mobile “games” to his credit, namely Miitomo, Fire Emblem Heroes and Super Mario Run. A fourth is currently in preparation: these areAnimal Crossing.
The Legend Of Zelda would be the fifth mobile game from Nintendo according to the New York daily. The latter even announces a partnership with DeNA for the adaptation of the famous franchise on iOS platforms and Android.
The Wall street journal did not, however, provide any indication of the gameplay offered to players. Furthermore, fans hope that the gameplay will be much more interesting than that offered by Super Mario Run. Finally, The Legend Of Zelda could also be a game freemium to secure considerable revenue for Nintendo.
