Man detained after brandishing samurai sword inside famous Apple Store from 5th Avenue in New York, in the United States. The scene occurred last Friday around 4 p.m. Police said the 30-year-old man entered the Apple Store yelling and threatening customers with his saber.
Unsurprisingly, he managed to sow panic in the Apple store, both among customers and employees, who for some had a big fright (translation of the Tweet below: “A man pulled out a samurai sword inside the Apple Store today while I was working, and I don’t think I’ve ever been so scared in my entire life”).
Two NYPD officers had to intervene inside the store to arrest the man. The suspect, who was charged with threats in possession of a criminal weapon, was initially transported to Bellevue Hospital in New York. His name has not yet been released and no one has been injured.
