Intel has started producing its entry-level processors elsewhere

new nomenclature to simplify life for consumers

When we turn to Core processors from Intel, the nomenclature chosen for the names allows us to quickly idea about positioning of the different models and the functionalities to which we will be entitled. Those who are looking for very high-end will therefore head for the Core i7, and in particular the Core i7 Extreme Edition which offers an unbridled multiplier for overclocking enthusiasts.

Well, it turns out that the Santa-Clara company intends to apply the same recipe for its Atom family processors. After Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 processors, it will start to offer processors Atom X3, Atom X5 and Atom X7. The less informed consumer should thus be able to find their way more easily than in the middle of the references of type ZZ3745, Z3775 or Z3795.

The information is thin and we will have to wait for the MWC lounge which will take place next week to find out more. The Atom range equipping mobile products such as smartphones, tablets and 2-in-1 hybrids, Intel will indeed come to present the latest innovations.
