The code of iOS 14 which has been in circulation for a few days now does not stop revealing information. This time we know the new features that the Locate app from Apple will bring us with iOS 14 in final version. There are augmented reality and new notifications related to location.
Notifications in the Locate app
Thus, the new update of the application will allow the user to receive an alert when someone does not arrive at a specific place at a scheduled time of the day or when someone leaves a place before a defined time. This new function will be useful for example for parents who follow when their children arrive and leave school.
The app will also allow users to create these notifications to alert contacts based on their own location. In addition, location notifications can be customized for specific days of the week.
The new update of the application will allow it to support augmented reality headsets. Users will be able to visually locate, using augmented reality therefore, more precise directions from the nearest locations, including AirTag (Apple’s next object tracker.
iOS 14 will be presented in June on the occasion of the WWDC 2020 and will be available to all users in final version next September.
