After renewing the range from below, Apple has finally unveiled the evolution on its top of the range with a new series iPad Pro, always presented as an alternative to laptops, which the representatives of the firm did not fail to recall.
Confirming the rumors of recent months, two new iPad Pro tablets have been announced. To replace the iPad Pro 10.5, it is now a 11-inch iPad Pro which takes over, taking advantage of a Liquid Retina LCD display (as for the iPhone XR) with refined borders, while the12.9-inch iPad Pro sees a successor of the same diagonal arrive.
Abandoning their usual Home button (and the associated Touch ID), the new iPad Pro now includes advanced facial recognition Face ID, similar to the one offered on iPhone and can operate in landscape mode.
As for the iPhone, it will therefore be necessary to learn some gestures to access the subsections like the Control Center or take advantage of the advantages of the iPad platform like the Split View.
As expected, the new iPad Pro take advantage of an SoC Apple A12X Bionic specific and powerful, with an octocore CPU in 4 + 4 configuration (the Apple A12 of the iPhone being hexacore) and with a GPU 7 cores offering a serious boost in terms of performance, to the point that Apple claims that its flat -form is more powerful than more than 90% of laptops on the market.
Engraved in 7 nm, armed with 10 billion transistors (against 6.9 billion for the Apple A12 Bionic), the new SoC also integrates a Neural Engine chip dealing with artificial intelligence processing and capable of supporting up to 5000 billion operations per second.
The other big innovation of the new generation iPad Pro concerns the abandonment of the Lightning port for connectors USB-C more versatile. It can even be used to charge an iPhone or gadgets from the large battery of the iPad Pro.
The new generation iPad Pro also promises to be a powerful augmented reality tool thanks to its SoC and photo sensors while offering a very fine form factor, with only 5.9 mm thick, and now able to embark up to 1 TB of storage, all offering up to a day of autonomy.
Accessories are not forgotten since the launch of touch pads comes with a stylus Apple pencil of new generation which now benefits from a magnetic attachment to the iPad Pro and wireless charging which will avoid having to use connectors.
The new iPad Pro are launched from 799 dollars for the 11-inch iPad Pro and from 999 dollars for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, with the possibility of ordering them today, for availability from November 7. The previous generation 10.5-inch iPad Pro remains in the calling catalog as a calling product.
