According to our information, the incumbent operator will receive the first delivery of its new Nano-SIM cards as early as next week.
While the operator Mobile Vikings is already ready for the launch of the new iPhone, the writing of Belgium-iPhone surveyed this Thursday the two other main competing operators.
On the Belgacom / Proximus side, we were told that the operator is going to receive the first delivery of their Nano-SIM cards as early as next week. The arrival of this first delivery does not mean that these new Nano-SIM cards are made available immediately. It will probably be necessary to wait for the start of the marketing of the new iPhone in Belgium to be able to benefit from it.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the operator Haroun Fenaux has sent us what the future “key” of the new iPhone will look like so that the latter can have access to the Proximus network:
On the Mobistar side, the mystery remains whether the operator has already received the first copies of the Nano-SIM card. However, we were told that the look of the future card will be very similar to that of other cards from the France Tlcom subsidiary, namely white and with the Mobistar logo. We have not been informed about the availability of future cards, but there is no doubt that they will be available as soon as the new Apple smartphone arrives.
Finally and on the side of Base, we unfortunately did not obtain any information. We tried to reach the operator's press service to no avail.
We discuss it on the forum.
