Sony has unveiled three new models at MWC: the XPeria 1, XPeria 10 and XPeria 10 Plus.

The XPeria 1 stands out with its 4K resolution and 21: 9 display ratio, a proportion identical to that offered by the screens located in the movie theater. Indeed, when the films are converted to 16: 9 format, the rendering inexorably displays large black bars at the top and bottom of the image.

A high-performance camera

The XPeria 1 is powered by a Snapdragon 855 coupled with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. It has a photo configuration with triple sensors: a main 12 MPx camera, a 12 MPx wide-angle sensor and a third 12 MPx with zoom.

Sony has integrated the technology of its digital cameras into this model. Interchangeable Alpha lenses. The photographer will thus be able to make a burst capture while benefiting from a precise focusing and a optimal exposure. The manufacturer has also made efforts at the multimedia level. It offers a sound Dolby Atmos and a game mode promoting performance and blocking the notifications during the games. Finally, the battery power reaches 3330 mAh.

The XPeria 1 will be available in the spring of this year. Buyers will have the choice between several colors: black, purple, gray and white. The manufacturer has not yet specified the price.

Some details on XPeria 10 and 10 Plus

The XPeria 10 has a 6-inch LCD screen while its Plus version displays a 6.5-inch panel. These two models also offer a 21: 9 display, but their resolution is capped at 1080p and they do not support HDR.

Both devices have a different technical sheet. The XPeria 10 uses a Snapdragon 630 combined with 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. Its battery reaches 2870 mAh. For its part, the 10 Plus is powered by a Snapdragon 636 with 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage space and a 3000 mAh battery.

Selfie lovers will have at their disposal an 8 MPX sensor. The configuration of the rear sensors is slightly different. The XPeria 10 has two 13 and 5 MPx digital cameras while the 10 Plus is equipped with two 12 and 8 MPx digital cameras and has2X optical zoom.

The XPeria 10 and 10 Plus will arrive in March. They will cost respectively around 350 and 430 euros.
